The Kitchen of Unwanted Animals

Environmental: According to the UN Environment program 1/3 of all food produced for human consumption is wasted. The Kitchen for Unwanted animals is reducing food waste by serving delicious versions of pests and other unwanted animals, for example by transforming the 40 000 shot geese on Schiphol into yummy croquettes. Instead of producing food for food, they use what is already there and would be thrown away.

Social: As a foodtruck it is an easily approachable ”project”. Visiting them you can try the outcome of their way of reducing  food waste and make personal contact with the people involved in this project. The project is also meant to spark a conversation about food norms and waste.

Economical: There are no expenses in producing the main ingredient.
